Greetings CityLight family,

In Matthew 5, Jesus says “You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden…In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Our mission as a church has always been to help people move from where they are to where God wants them to be. Time and again we have seen God’s faithfulness to use us for that purpose, to be a beacon of light that shines from our corner of this city and reaches people with the hope of the gospel. There is no doubt at this time in our story that God is on the move and we want to be ready for those He will bring our way next.

Over the past year, our leadership has been prayerfully seeking God’s direction for the next season of CityLight. We have committed to walk boldly into God’s plans for us, with the knowledge that obedience will require sacrifice and will come with triumph for the kingdom of heaven. As a result, we are inviting our church family to join us a we launch a vision campaign called The One Movement. This movement focuses on two priorities: investing personally in people who don’t yet know Jesus, and preparing our campus to serve the people God brings our way.

I’m asking that you begin now, praying specifically for how God will call you to be a part of this moment, this movement. Pray for the one person He will put on your heart. We have God-sized goals and we want to see the lost being found and our community being reached. CityLight family, this is our time and our place. I believe we will one day look back and thank God for what He did because we said yes—together.
