DAY 39 – OCT 24
Ephesians 6
For the next part of our prayer and devotion we will focus on Ephesians 6:10-20. If you have time to read the entire chapter in advance of these posts, you certainly should! To put this in context, Paul is writing to the church in Ephesus while he was in prison in Rome. He wrote this epistle (letter) in part to promote unity in the church and to encourage the believers in times of trouble. We can read it today with the same prayers – for unity in the church and for encouragement in difficult times. We will unpack this in the next posts.
We Pray: God, we pray for your wisdom and discernment in days such as this. Help us to be “wise as serpents and gentle as doves” (Matthew 10:16) as we read your word and live out our lives for your glory. We pray for this in Jesus’ name. Amen
