DAY 50 – NOV 4
For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.
Colossians 1:16.
As we go to polls for this election, we are faced with so much division in our country. In the midst of all of this turmoil, it is easy to forget that God is in control (Proverbs 19:21). In the midst of our differences, let us follow the example of Jesus and lead with love (1 Peter 3:8). We will have to take a stand for what is right and pure and just (Daniel 1:8), but also remember that the devil is our true enemy and God is the ultimate victor. As we cast our ballots and pray for our nation, we do so with the assurance that all things work for God’s purpose (Romans 8:28).
We Pray: Heavenly Father, You are truly the ruler over all things (Psalm 22:28). We know that You have placed us in this place and moment in history for just such a time (Esther 4:14). Prepare us so we won’t miss our moment at this important juncture of our country’s history. We are grateful for the freedoms You have allowed us in our land. Help us to not take them for granted. We pray for peace that only You can provide (John 14:27) through the power of the Holy Spirit and the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray these things in Your mighty name. Amen.
