DAY 5 – SEPT 20
About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.
Acts 16:25-26
Setting aside a time each day to experience God through music is an integral part of our faith journey. Worship through music allows us to step back from our battles and find rest. God created music for us to be with Him. We disconnect ourselves from the noise that attempts to separate us from Him. When we sing songs of praise, our worlds shift, prison doors fling open, and we are no longer slaves to the struggles that seemed hopeless just moments ago. In these moments of worship, we find freedom, hope, and a profound connection to God and each other, just as Paul and Silas did when their chains fell off as they praised God.
We Pray: Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of music and worship that draws us closer to You and one another. As we lift our voices in songs of praise, we ask that You fill our hearts with Your presence and peace. Let the melodies and harmonies break the chains of our struggles and bring us freedom and hope. Help us to set aside time each day to worship You through music, finding rest and renewal in Your love. May our songs be a testament to Your goodness and grace, opening the doors of our hearts to experience Your divine connection and the liberation, only You can provide. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
