DAY 4 – SEPT 19
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
Proverbs 11:2
Pride often tricks us into believing that managing our image is more important than nurturing our relationship with Christ and others. It leads us to think we don’t need accountability or encouragement, isolating us from the support systems God has provided. Pride’s goal is to stunt our growth by separating us from Christ and the people who help us mature. To overcome pride, we must look beneath the surface to uncover its roots, recognizing that it often serves as a misguided form of self-protection. We open the door to a deeper relationship with Christ and real growth in our spiritual journey by addressing the deeper issues and surrendering our pride.
We Pray: Heavenly Father, we come before You, acknowledging the pride that often hinders our growth and separates us from You and the community You have placed in our lives. We ask for Your grace to help us look deeper within ourselves and uncover and address our pride’s roots. Grant us the humility to seek accountability and encouragement from others and to prioritize our relationship with You above all else. Help us to let go of image management and embrace genuine transformation through Your Holy Spirit. May our lives reflect the humility and grace of Christ, growing ever closer to You each day. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
