Reignite Our Mission
John 17:18-21
“As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
These powerful words of Jesus are recorded the day before his crucifixion. These disciples (and now we as well) have the awesome task of sharing Jesus’ love to a hurting world desperately in need of his grace and mercy. The end result as that we will be “one” with each other for all eternity through our efforts and Jesus power for all that haven’t heard the Good News.
We pray: Jesus, we are humbled that you would choose us in this wonderful task in spreading the gospel. We look forward to a great celebration in heaven someday when we see the fruit of this labor as we learn of all of the people who came to faith due to your grace and our faithfulness. Amen.
