Reignite Our Vision
Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Organizations often have mission statements and vision statements. We typically think of a mission statement as what we are doing right now, and a vision statement as what we hope to achieve in the future. This verse can land at the crossroad of these two statements. Whatever you did/are doing/will do, do these in the name of Jesus. This is what we’ve done for him in the past, are doing today, and hope to do in the future. Our mission shapes our vision, and our vision is informed by our mission.
We pray: Jesus, there is power in your name. As Philippians 2:9-11 reminds us, every knee will bow and tongue confess that you are Lord. Help our vision to always be on you so we can accomplish your purpose in our lives. It is in your name we pray, Amen.
