Reignite Our Faith
Romans 10:17
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
Our faith must be grounded in scripture (the word of Christ) if it is to stand strong in the face of adversity. Though our prayer and scripture reading we learn of God’s love for us, and we discern how to walk in faith in the path you lay before us. As we hear the word through reading and preaching, we need to “listen” with our head and heart, so that the word is planted deep in our soul, leading to a transformed life.
We pray: God, give us a love for your word! Help us to cherish the scriptures that you breathe out for teaching, correction, and equipping (2 Timothy 3:16) so that our faith can be made strong. Amen.
