Reignite Our Vision
2 Corinthians 4:18
As we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
Vision has two common meanings. One is the act of seeing. The other is the ability to plan for the future. The verse above reminds us that we must “see the unseen” so our vision can be on the eternal. It takes strong faith to keep our eyes on God’s kingdom and not on the things of this world.
We pray: Jesus, help us to fix our eyes upon you. There is a spiritual realm that we can’t see with our physical eyes, so we pray that you will give us the vision to see the world as you would have us see it. Help this to shape our vision so we can plan for the future you have prepared for us. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
