Reignite Our Vision
Matthew 22:37-39
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
This verse touches on a simple yet challenging truth. When we put our full trust in Jesus, our vision will lead us to these commandments. We are to love God with all that we are, and love our neighbor as much as we love our own lives. This can be easy to say but difficult to do! To truly have his vision for the world, we need to obey these commandments and seek his kingdom first (Matthew 6:33).
We pray: Heavenly Father, we want to put you first in our lives. There are so many things of this world that cloud our vision and distract us from your purposes. We ask for strength to love you more than anything else through the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
