Reignite Our Faith
Romans 5:1-2
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
We will explore the purpose of works later, but first we must remember that we are justified (made righteous in the eyes of God) through faith. There is nothing we can do to make God love us any more (or less). This free gift of grace is available to all who put their faith in Jesus. We pray:
We Pray: Jesus, we can quickly forget that you are looking for our faith first, and we often worry that we don’t “measure up” due to our failings. The peace you offer is so needed by us as well as by a world in desperate need of this hope. We thank you for this today in your name, Amen.
