Reignite Our Passion
Colossians 3:14
And above all these, put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
Two words stand out in this passage. Our love binds everything together. It is the “glue” that holds the body of Christ together. Harmony implies that multiple musical notes are occurring at the same time to produce pleasing sounds. Putting these two together, our passion keeps the church working together for the glory of God. We are not meant to do the Christian walk alone.
We pray: God, we pray that the Holy Spirit will bind us together in perfect harmony. Like a choir singing a beautiful worship song or a well-oiled machine moving effortlessly, help us as the body of Christ work together in passion to accomplish your purposes on the earth. We pray for this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
