Reignite Our Passion
Colossians 3:23
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.
Once again, we read that “why” we do things is a true testament for our passion for Jesus. What we do is important, but our motivation needs to be correct. We can have faith to move mountains (1 Corinthians 13:2) but without a love for Jesus, we will accomplish nothing of eternal consequence.
We pray: Lord God, we are grateful for the work you have placed before us. However, help us to keep our eyes fixed on you so that our passion for you grows through our service. We know you desire our love over our works, but we want to demonstrate to the watching world that our love for you drives our service. Thank you in Jesus’ name, Amen.
