Reignite Our Passion
Matthew 6:21
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
This statement of Jesus comes from his Sermon on the Mount. There are so many wonderful truths in this teaching, but the short statement above hits on an important fact – our passion is demonstrated by what we do with the gifts God provides. Our time, talents, and treasures are all evidence of where our true passions lie.
We pray: Jesus, you are our true treasure. So many things compete for our attention and devotion, so we pray for a passion that overwhelms all else. Guard our hearts against anything that tries to take us away from your love. In your name we pray, Amen.
