Reignite Our Passion
Deuteronomy 6:5
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
We begin our discussion on how to Reignite our Passion with one of the oldest elements of worship from the Bible. This passage was part of the daily worship (the “Shema”) that would be offered as a prayer by the Jewish people. Jesus quoted this when he answered a question concerning the greatest commandment. We must love and worship him above all other things as we follow his teaching and share his love with others. This lights the fire of passion for God.
We pray: Heavenly Father, we acknowledge you as the Lord of our lives. We long to love you with everything in our being. We do this out of love and gratitude because of all that you have done for us. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
